Day 01: Delhi / Bagdogra / Gangtok (125 Kms) (05 Hrs)

At the airport, you will see that Tree Trunk Travel representative is waiting to give a warm welcome and later drive to Gangtok. Upon arrival check in to hotel.

Day 02: Gangtok

Morning Visit Rumtek Monastery,Botanical Garden, and Santi View Point, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten,  Orchid House Flower Show. After lunch visit Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok and Bakthang Falls. Back to hotel and free evening to roam around M G Marg Mall for shopping.

Day 03: Gangtok / Tsomo Lake / Gangtok

Morning same day excursion to Tsomgo Lake. The Tsomgo lake in Sikkim is a holy lake worshipped by the sikkimese. Tsomgo (Changu) lake, which is hardly 20 km away from the famous Nathula Pass and about 400 km from Lhasa. It’s cool, placid water harmonies with the picturesque beauty around, which is increased by its reflection in thelake. A small temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside. Primula flowers and other alpine plantation grow around the Tsomgo lake Sikkim, which has an average depth of 50 ft, provides a pristine beauty to this place. A footpath along the Tsomgo lake takes one to a resting shed – a walk of about half a kilometre. During the winter months the Tsomo Lake becomes frozen.

Day 05 : Darjeeling

Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) and panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Gangtok / Darjeeling (130 Kms) (04 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Darjeelingthe via Ravangla and Temi Tea Garden. On arrival check in at Hotel. Free evening.

Day 06: Darjeeling – Bhadrapur – Kathmandu (By Flight)
Darjeeling – Bhadrapur – Kathmandu

Morning drive to Bhadrapur airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance upon arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 07: Kathmandu / Nagarkot

After breakfast drive Bhaktapur, (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) Bhaktapur is filled with monuments, most terra-cotta with carved wood columns, palaces and temples with elaborate carvings, gilded roofs, and open courtyards. The city is dotted with pagodas and religious shrines. The Art Gallery has a fascinating collection of ancient manuscripts, Thangkas, centuries-old stone sculpture, antique paintings that belong to the Hindu and Buddhist traditions of various periods.

After Bhaktapur drive to Nagarkot which is at a height of 2300 m above sea level. Its commands a classic panorama of the Himalayan ranges. You can see from here many major peaks of the Himalayas, like Langtang, Langtang- Lirung, Chobha Bhamre, Amadablam, Dorje Lhakpa, Gaurishankar and many peaks of the Himalaya, including Mt. Everest on clear day. From here you can catch excellent view of sunset and sunrise.

Day 08 : Nagarkot / Kathmandu
Nagarkot / Kathmandu

Wake up early morning to catch the sunrise and beautiful view of Himalayan panorama. Clients can wish to go to see the beautiful sights of the village of Nagarkot for little time. Drive back to hotel in Kathmandu.

After lunch, we will go to Kirtipur for sightseeing tour. Kirtipur is one of the oldest towns in Kathmandu valley. Kirtipur contains few Buddhists sites both old & new. Cilancho Stupa is of historic importance. A Bihar has been made in Kirtipur, which contain the miniature sites representing Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, Boudhgaya where Buddha got enlightenment, Saranath where Buddha gave his first teaching and Kushinagar where Buddha died

At the last we will be visiting Swoyambhunath Stupa. Swoyambhunath is believed to have been established more than 2,500 years ago. Swoyambhunath (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) had developed into an important center of Buddhism. Drive back to hotel.

Day 09 : Kathmandu

After breakfast drive to famous Durbar Square of Kathmandu (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) dominated by Shiva temple where the “Living Goddess” overlooks the square from the south. The square itself is squeezed by the palace into two parts: at the southern end is the Kasthamandap, the ancient building that probably gave Kathmandu its name.

Our next destination is Patan Durbar square. (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) Patan Durbar Square complex is perhaps the most photographed of the three durbar squares. Located in the heart of Patan city, this was once the palace of the kings of Patan. The square is a display of Newari architecture that had reached its pinnacle during the reign of Malla kings who were great builders and patrons of the arts.

After Patan durbar square visit to Pashupatinath (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) is one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations for all the Hindus of the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the trinity and the guardian (patron) deity of Nepal. This is one of the oldest temples, situated on the banks of the Holy Bagmati River. It is double – roofed golden temple with four triple silver doorways. Pashupatinath covers an area of 281 hectares, which is one of the biggest temple complexes in Nepal.

Next destination is Great Stupa of Boudhanath (UNESCO World heritage site in 1979) in the Kathmandu valley, a vast dome-shaped monument representing the Mind of the Buddha, is the primary pilgrimage destination for Tantric Buddhists of the Himalayas and a major draw for Tibetan Buddhists from all over the planet. The history of the stupa from its origins in the fifth century to the present day is also presented here for the first time.’ Drive back to hotel.
